Miranda Kerr might be on top of the world with all the success her career has given her. She has recently did cover shoots and posed topless for Vogue Korea and Kora Organics beauty line. Now the 30-year-old supermodel posed in a sexy string bikini for the new swimwear line for Net-a-porter.
Despite all of her success, however, this former Victoria's Secret "Angel" said when she comes to home to hubby Orlando Bloom she likes to relax and take the backseat in her relationship, the Daily Mail reports. In an interview with The Edit, Ne-a-porter's online magazine, she opens up about her "traditional" relationship with Bloom, being a mommy to two-year-old Flynn and why she ended her contract with Victoria's Secret.
The Australian model began by saying that she fells it's important to sometimes let her husband be the dominant one in their relationship.
"I think it is really important not to feel as a woman that you have to do and be everything," she the magazine. "I am quite dominant in my career, so what really works for me when I come home, is to relax more into the feminine side. If you're really an alpha female, you don't allow [your partner] to have the space to feel like the man in the relationship. Maybe I'm too traditional, but men feel important when you ask for their help, instead of thinking you can do it all on your own."
She said she realized this from her previous relationships when she would make the mistake of feeling like she always had to take charge.
"My mistake in my relationships has been to fell that I can do it all on my own. I don't need a man," she said. "That is definitely a mistake. Women generally want to feel loved and appreciated. It's something that I am working on every day, trust me! It's a challenge for me to do that."
She also addressed that rumors that her contract with Victoria's Secret was over because she was "too old." She was with the lingerie company for six years.
"Ed [Razek] and I are really good friends, and we both decided it was impractical for me to continue," she explained. "I have such fond memories of working with them."
She did that she is welcoming the change and the direction in her career because it gives her a chance to focus in things she's doing like her beauty line, Kora Organics.
