Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder are taking their relationship to the next level . . . by becoming business partners.
The couple, who have been dating since July, are partnering up to start their own production company, E! Online reported.
"Nikki and I are starting a production company and we're going to be able to tell even more stories that we really want to tell, everything from documentaries to TV shows to movies...all kinds of stuff," Somerhalder said. "Having the success of a television show like [Vampire Diaries] really allows you to be able...now I get to start spreading my creative wings as well."
"It's also learning about how all this stuff works so that when I do grow up, I know how to run my own show, I know how to do all these things, I'm on my own. Spreading my creative wings, I guess that's what it really comes down to."
Reed and Somerhalder walked the red carpet at the 16th Annual Warner Bros and InStyle post-Golden Globe party at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday in Beverly Hills, California.
Somerhalder's "Vampire Diaries" co-star and ex-girlfriend Nina Dobrev reportedly ignored the couple during the after party, according to Hollywood Life. Dobrev and Somerhalder dated for more than three years before splitting in May 2013.
"Nina avoided Ian and Nikki like the plague," a source told Hollywood Life. "She stayed surrounded by some friends and kept to the opposite side of the party. It was really uncomfortable because Ian and Nikki were walking around like they were the prom king and queen. [Nikki] and Ian were glued at the hip and put on some serious PDA, kissing throughout the night.
"Nina couldn't avoid them forever though as they ran into each other, which was really awkward. They all just kept slowly walking by each other as they smiled and briefly said, 'Hello.' I felt bad for Nina."
