First-time parents Zoe Saldana and her husband Marco Perego are overjoyed with being a family of four.
The 36-year-old "Guardians of the Galaxy" star welcomed her twin boys Cy Aridio and Bowie Ezio Perego-Saldana in late November. A source close to the couple exclusively told E! News that Saldana and her hubby are enjoying being parents.
"They are overjoyed with the love Cy and Bowie have brought into their life," a source said. "Zoe and Marco have gotten even closer during Zoe's pregnancy and first few weeks with their baby boys."
Perego has been busy lending a helping hand to his wife, adding that he has been "such a loving supporting husband, helping Zoe around the house and taking care of her, giving her back rubs and a lot of sweet love. Everyone in Zoe's family really thinks he is a wonderful man."
The insider said that the newborns have become an inspiration to Perego's life and his artwork. The Italian artist reportedly has "a lot of his parents' qualities" and knows what it takes to be a "great dad and provider."
"He is grateful he can give his babies certain things that were harder for him as a child," the insider told E! News. "Both Marco and Zoe still want to raise Bowie and Cy with a down-to-earth. Having good values is a must for them."
Meanwhile, the insider added that Saldana is "feeling and looking great" and the actress' body is quietly getting back to its pre-pregnancy form.
"Zoe's been taking care of herself and exercising and eating healthy," the source said. "She hasn't done anything over the top. It's mainly taking care of two baby boys, as that's a workout on its own... She loves, loves, loves being a mom. Her main focus now is her boys, but she will be getting back to work eventually."
Over the weekend, the actress tweeted a question to her fellow mothers about breastfeeding, which read, "So ladies- moms... Breastfeeding moms. What do you have to say about pumping??!!! #babies #Breastfeeding #breasts hurting!!"
