A horrifying new Islamic State video features a young boy purportedly executing a pair of alleged Russian spies who tried to infiltrate the militant organization in Syria.
In the slickly produced propaganda video, titled "Uncovering an Enemy Within" and released by the terrorist organization on Tuesday, two men are seen being interrogated in Russian about their alleged attempt to infiltrate ISIS, Fox News reported. However, the authenticity of the video has not yet been verified.
"Allah has gifted the Islamic State's security agency with the apprehension of these two spies," the adult states. "By Allah's grace, they are now in the custody of the lion cubs of the Caliphate," referring to ISIS' employed child soldiers.
Initially in the video, an alleged Kazakh national confesses that he had been ordered by Russia's Federal Security Service to spy on an ISIS leader while the other captive acknowledges that he had been sent by Russian security services to assassinate a senior ISIS commander, according to USA Today. The footage then switches to an outdoor scene where the alleged spies are kneeling in front of a man and an armed child, who appears to be younger than a teenager.
In a horrific scene, the young boy proceeds to fatally shoot the two men repeatedly in the head with a pistol.
The clip concludes with a scene featuring a training camp for "the next generation" of jihadis, with the same boy identifying himself as Abdullah from Kazakhstan and speaking of his ambitions to grow up to "kill infidels."
The militant organization has released similar videos in the past, boasting of its ability to recruit youth and showing training in military tactics.
Meanwhile, an official with Russia's Federal Security Service declined to comment when asked about the video by Russia media outlet RIA Novosti. The Russian embassy in Damascus also declined to make comments.
