Gwyneth Paltrow finally has something to say about her ex-husband's on-again-off-again girlfriend Jennifer Lawrence.
During an interview on Howard Stern's Sirius XM radio show on Wednesday, the 42-year-old GOOP founder and mother of two slammed reports that she isn't happy with Martin dating the "Hunger Games" actress.
"Who says I don't approve of Jennifer Lawrence?" she asked on the show. "I respect [Chris] as the father of my children...It's his decision...He wouldn't be with someone who isn't great."
Paltrow added that the two are on good terms and "actually have a really strong friendship." Last March, the famous couple announced their separation after nearly 10 years of marriage and two children.
The actress told Stern that she and Martin are "always going to be a family" and added that the couple's decision to "consciously uncouple" was based on trying to "find the positives" in their relationship as an effort to form a drama-free environment for their two children.
"We laugh and we have fun but there are times when it's really difficult," the actress admitted. "Things happen and you're like, I'm sure he doesn't want to hang out with me and I don't want to hang out with him but for the sake of the kids, you do it. But you also don't do it all tense. You say, 'I really want to find the love for you and I want to forgive you and I want you to forgive me and let's have some fun as a family.'"
While on the show the "Iron Man" actress opened up about her relationships and breakups with two of her famous boyfriends, Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck.
"I definitely fell in love with him," the actress said about Pitt. "He was so gorgeous and sweet. I mean, he was Brad Pitt! I was such a kid, I was 22 when we met. It's taken me until 40 to get my head out of my ass. You can't make that decision when you're 22 years old... I wasn't ready, and he was too good for me. I didn't know what I was doing."
She added, "If I see him, we're friendly. I don't hang out with him."
When it came to Affleck, the actress revealed that her parents' feelings about the star.
"I think they appreciated how he's super intelligent and he's really talented and funny. They loved him, but they were OK with us not being together. [He was] not in a good place in his life to have a girlfriend," she added.
