The NFL's coaching carousel continues to turn and new names continue to pop up as potential replacements elsewhere.
For the Washington Redskins, offensive line coach Chris Foerster is expected to leave the team and head north to Buffalo to reunite with new Bills head coach Rex Ryan, according to a report from Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.
While the loss will hurt for the Skins, it may end up adding to the organization's overall good, as La Canfora also reports that the Skins and head coach Jay Gruden "covet" Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator, Bill Callahan and are expected to make a play for him.
It is a move that could happen quickly, per La Canfora.
"In fact, I'm hearing Callahan to the Skins could end up happening pretty quickly. Would be another big get in this offseason for them," he tweeted.
As La Canfora notes, the potential addition of Callahan would be a double whammy for the Redskins - it would strengthen their own team by bringing in a coach with a wealth of NFL knowledge and a knack for building the run game while simultaneously weakening a division foe in Dallas.
Callahan helped build one of the best offensive lines in the league in Dallas this season - a line that paved the way for the league's leading rusher, DeMarco Murray and now sports three former first-round picks in Tyron Smith, Travis Frederick and Zack Martin who have become significant contributors.
But after the team brought in Scott Linehan prior to last season and handed him play-calling duties, Callahan was apparently unhappy and now, according to John Clayton of ESPN, not expected to return to Dallas.
Along with the huge addition of Scot McLoughlan as GM and the potential addition of Vic Fangio as defensive coordinator and now Callahan as offensive line coach or offensive coordinator - the team already has Sean McVay as their OC - the Skins are having themselves one heck of an offseason.
