Chris Brown has performed at two venues in the last six months where shootings broke out during his set. His wrong place, wrong time performances could cost him in court.
A judge revoked Brown's probation when the hip-hop artist appeared in court for a progress report on Thursday, according to TMZ. The report included the two nightclub shootings that both occurred at Chris Brown events.
The first shooting occurred at the 1OAK nightclub in West Hollywood on the weekend of the MTV Video Music Awards in August. Three people were injured including Suge Knight, rapper and founder of Death Row Records. Brown was hosting a party to celebrate the release of his sixth studio album, "X."
While performing at the Fiesta nightclub in San Jose last weekend, a shooting broke out near the back of the building. Five people were injured in the skirmish that happened around 1:20 a.m. on Jan. 11, according to the San Jose Mercury News.
Brown traveled north for the performance, but he left Los Angeles County without court permission, which violated his probation, according to TMZ. If the judge finds the "Loyal" singer "willfully" violated the terms of his probation, that would be a felony and he could face jail time.
The judge has found no evidence so far that proves Brown culpable in the shootings. Evidence will be presented at a formal hearing on March 20.
