Idina Menzel And John Legend Will Perform At Super Bowl

Idina Menzel and John Legend will kick off Super Bowl XLIX on Sunday, Feb. 1.

Menzel will perform the National Anthem before the game at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. She also sang "The Star-Spangled Banner" before the MLB All-Star game in Minneapolis, Minnesota last July.

The Broadway vet follows past singers including Renée Fleming (2014), Alicia Keys (2013), Kelly Clarkson (2012) and Christina Aguilera (2011).

Legend will add his vocals in a performance of "America the Beautiful." He and Common earned an Oscar nomination for their song "Glory" from "Selma," which also won a Golden Globe.

Queen Latifah sang the patriotic tune last year. The students of Sandy Hook Elementary School performed the song in 2013 in the wake of the tragic shooting that claimed 20 of their classmates.

Katy Perry will perform the at the Pepsi Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show with special guest Lenny Kravitz.

NBC will broadcast the 2015 Super Bowl.
