The Heat and their massive convoy of busses and cars inch along Miami streets to ovations from thousands of excited fans. The parade is expected to last 45 minutes, the Miami Herald reports. The victory lap parade culminates with an indoor celebration with season ticket holders.
Miami won its second consecutive NBA title on Thursday after a Game 7 win over the San Antonio Spurs, 95-88. James won the Finals MVP award, and he posted 37 points and 12 rebounds. Dwyane Wade showed up too, adding 23 points and 10 rebounds.
Some of the highlights earlier from the parade include Ray Allen spraying fans with a Super Soaker, James with a cigar, Chris Bosh holding the Larry O'Brien trophy and thousands of fans tightly packed along the sidewalks cheering as the NBA champions passed.
