Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler Arrested for Exchanging Death Threats

Travis Barker and ex-wife Shanna Moakler differ on putting their kids in front of reality show cameras. Their disagreement led to raised tempers and death threats against each other last month.

Police arrested the former couple on Dec. 7 for making criminal threats - Moakler claimed he threatened to kill her and Barker claimed she responded by threatening to kill him, according to TMZ. They were later released without being charged.

The ex-couple finalized their divorce in 2008 but tried to rekindle their relationship until 2012. Court documents filed by Moakler for a child custody evaluation show they continue to live in the same house with their children, son Landon and daughter Alabama, according to E! News. Moakler also has a teenage daughter, Atiana, from her previous relationship with boxer Oscar de la Hoya.

Their argument stemmed from Barker's request to include the two kids in a new reality show with him. The children "seemed excited" about the show, according to the documents, but Moakler wanted to discuss it privately with Barker.

Barker and Moakler starred on the reality series "Meet the Barkers" back in 2005-06 on Fox with their children. In addition to the new show, Barker also wanted to take Landon and Alabama on his next tour.

"There isn't a judge in the united states who is gonna say I have to let my kids go for 3 months on a rock tour!" Moakler replied in a text message when he told her about the tour, according to E! News.

Barker had texted her several threatening messages that complained about the amount of money he paid her in child support as well as accusing her of employing an illegal immigrant as a nanny for the children.

"Bitch I hate u, all this makes me even hate u more. Feed the fire. You'll regret all of this, I'll enjoy it," he said.

Moakler claimed that in the past her ex-husband had threatened to withhold child support if she didn't do what he wanted and had previously vetoed having the kids star in a reality show with their mom.

The two started fighting soon after he made the suggestion and he reportedly said, "All you're good at is sucking d--k" and "If I could, I'd put a bullet in your head."

Moakler called the police. They advised her that his "bullet" comment was a threat and they would place him under arrest. When the police arrived, Barker told them about Moakler threatening to send her boyfriend over and beat him up, which caused the police to place her under arrest as well.

Police and representatives from L.A. County Department of Child and Family Services interviewed both the parents and eventually let each go. A DCFs investigation is still underway.
