According to TMZ, pop singer Chris Brown allegedly assaulted a 24-year old woman at Heat Ultra Lounge in Anaheim, Calif. over the weekend, and the young woman recently spoke to TMZ about the incident, claiming that Brown shoved her to the ground and she has since filed a police report.
Deanna Gines told TMZ she was in the VIP section of the nightclub where Brown had just given a performance, and claims that when the bar was about to close, Brown shoved her to the ground, causing her to fall to her knees. Gines says the push was deliberate and thus considers it assault. She said that she went to the doctor today, who told her that she had torn ligaments in her right knee and may need surgery.
A rep for the Anaheim PD said that a woman indeed filed a police report that night for assault inside the club, but would not disclose the name. Police are currently investigating the situation.
Nicole Perna, Chris Brown's rep, said to TMZ, "I'm unaware of the incident, as is Chris' lawyer and his entire team. He was in a great mood after Powerhouse. None of this makes sense."
Brown is known for his infamous attack on former girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, sparking controversy in the media and the general public due to his alleged domestic violence. The singer has since apologized for the incident and made amends with Rihanna, though it was not the last altercation he found himself in. Last year Brown was involved in a scuffle with rapper Drake at a New York City nightclub, and in January Brown got into an altercation with singer Frank Ocean in West Hollywood, Calif.
