Rescue Pet of The Week: HNGN Editors Admire This Dog's Optimism About Her Dire Situation (SEE IT)

Rosie is a 3-year-old husky mix who is optimistic that a great family will take her in, according to Washington, D.C. news radio staion WTOP. The fun-loving dog's previous owner moved to a location where puppies are not allowed. This forced her to give up her prized possession to the Washington Animal Rescue League.

Rosie enjoys being around people and other animals of her kind.

You can adopt Rosie at the Rescue League (71 Oglethorpe St. NW, Washington, D.C. 20011).

The shelter is closed Monday, but is open Tuesdays from noon to 7 p.m., Wednesdays from noon to 3 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays from noon to 7 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.

Staff can also be e-mailed at warl@warl.org or reached by phone at (202)726-2556.
