No. 6 Wisconsin bounced back from their loss on Jan. 11 at Rutgers with a 70-55 win Thursday against Nebraska. The Badgers (16-2) enjoyed a solid performance from sophomore guard Bronson Koenig, who scored 11 points against the Cornhuskers in place of injured starter Traevon Jackson.
With Jackson out indefinitely after undergoing foot surgery, coach Bo Ryan is confident Koenig can continue to step up and contribute as a starter.
"We know he has the ability, and his teammates know and trust him since he's been on the floor in a lot of big situations," Ryan said, via ESPN. "The guys relaxed him and he knows what I expect. He knows what his position is, he knows what it entails, so he did what I thought he would do."
For Wisconsin to win their second straight game, they'll have to find a way to limit the points No. 25 Iowa scores in transition.
"They're going to look to push in transition," Badgers forward Duje Dukan told the team website, via ESPN. "That's where they get a majority of their points. Along with their rebounding, they're long and athletic, that's a key."
Iowa's transition points have helped them to a 13-5 record. They've won four of their last five games, including two straight after their 76-67 win on Saturday against Ohio State.
