A Nebraska man is facing criminal charges for allegedly torturing an enslaved woman and forcing her to drink his urine on a daily basis for almost 10 years, the Daily News reported on Wednesday.
Nicholas Allen Talbot, 35, wrote "property of Nick" on his 32-year-old victim's arm in black marker and burned her with cigarettes. Talbot also forced her to sign a "slave contract" that nullified any rights he didn't give her.
According to the woman's account to the police, Talbot had been abusing her almost 10 years. She didn't try to escape or speak out because he threatened to kill her grandparents and parents in front of her if she did.
Finally, the woman broke her silence about the abuse to her pastor and another woman. They called the police, which led to Talbot's arrest. The woman was found with burns on her spine and breast from cigarettes and heated tips of a screwdriver.
Talbot is a registered sex offender according to Nebraska State Patrol records, the Journal Star reported. He sexually assaulted a child twice in 1998 and served three years in prison.
