Fans are in for a crazy, crazy third season of NBC's "Hannibal." The show returns in the spring with a new Mason Verger and a surprising marriage. Yes, there will be romance in between all that blood and gore. According to TV Line, the show added Nina Arianda ("Tower Heist") as Molly, Will's (Hugh Dancy) wife and mom to 12-year-old Walter .
The site claims that Molly will be introduced in episode eight and will stick around for four episodes. When the character is introduced there will be a time jump ahead several years to allow for Will's personal life to make the transition. TV Line reports that Molly will help Will work through some of his issues and also encourages him to go back to the FBI.
"[She] understands that Will is a good man, and her love has allowed him to rebuild himself. But when Will is asked to return to the FBI, she also urges him to try and save lives, knowing what risks this entails," the site wrote.
During the Season 2 finale, Will was left for dead after Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) stabbed him. It's obvious Will doesn't die and in the premiere for Season 3, he's on the hunt for Lecter. Previously it was reported that episode seven, which airs directly before the time jump, will be really weird. Executive producer Bryan Fuller teased on Twitter that "Digestivo" will make that corpse in the horse episode look like childs play.
"If you thought he 'horse-with-the-corpse-in-it-with-the-bird-in-it' was weird, #Hannibal Episode30VII #Digestivo is much, much weirder," he tweeted.
TV Line also revealed that Richard Armitage has joined the cast of "Hannibal" as Francis Dolarhyde, a serial killer with a crazy set of teeth. Francis is villain number one in the novel "Red Dragon" by Thomas Harris, which the NBC series is based on. Francis is expected to stick around for six episodes.
