Canadian rockers Rush are hitting the road once again... this time to celebrate 40 years of awesomeness.
Today, after much conjecture and speculation, the band and Live Nation confirmed that the "R40 Live" tour will visit 34 cities throughout North America this summer beginning May 8 in Tulsa, OK and will wind down on August 1 in Los Angeles, CA, Rolling Stone reports. The concerts will highlight all four decades of the band's musical catalogue.
Tickets for the "R40 Live" tour will go on sale starting January 30 in select markets at Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com.
This will be Rush's 21st tour, and will probably be their last major tour of this scale. The tour dates are as follows:

Over the course of their storied career, Rush have garnered 20 gold and platinum studio albums, have been recognized with eight Juno Awards, and seven Grammy nominations, including one for the highly praised documentary "Rush: Beyond The Lighted Stage" that also won the Audience Award at the Tribeca Film Festival. The band members were inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1994, made Officers of The Order of Canada in 1996, and inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2010. They received a star on both Canada's Walk of Fame (1999) and Hollywood Walk of Fame (2010). In 2012, Rush were honored with the highest artistic honor in Canada when receiving the Governor General's Performing Arts Award. And, to top it all off, Rush were (finally) inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
