Google's Eric Schmidt believes the Internet as we know it won't be around for much longer.
The executive chairman met with other world leaders at Thursday's World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, where he was asked on what the future holds for the web and responded with "I will answer very simply that the Internet will disappear," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
"There will be so many IP addresses ... so many devices, sensors, things that you are wearing, things that you are interacting with that you won't even sense it," Schmidt explained.
The growing development of wearables, smart home gadgets and connected technology will contribute to a future where Schimdt says the Internet will always be around us, the Associated Press reported.
"It will be part of your presence all the time," Schmidt said. "Imagine you walk into a room, and the room is dynamic. And with your permission and all of that, you are interacting with the things going on in the room."
