The first two trailers for "Avengers: Age of Ultron" show Andy Serkis turning his head and pointing a gun, but provide no other details that give any indication as to the identity of his character. A new report may end the mystery and confirm what many Marvel fans already suspected.
Schmoes Know confirmed with a Marvel source that Serkis will play the Marvel supervillain, Ulysses Klaw. The character in the movie will combine parts of the comic book Klaw and his father, Fritz Klaue, who had a history with Baron von Strucker and The Howling Commandos. That history will likely be shared by the movie Klaw, according to Shmoes Know.
Marvel Studios has not released details of Serkis' contract, so it's unknown whether he will appear in any more of the upcoming Marvel movies scheduled through 2019. Klaw shares a deadly connection in the comics to the superhero Black Panther, who will make his on-screen debut in "Captain America: The Civil War."
The Avengers will reassemble to combat against the villainous Ultron (James Spader), unleashed onto the world when Tony Stark's (Robert Downey Jr.) latest peacekeeping program goes awry. Ultron will set his sights on the human race, which he determines is the root of all evil. He and his band of robotic drones will seek to destroy all humanity before Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, the Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye can stop him.
"Avengers: Age of Ultron" hits theaters on May 1.
