From the minute that the Supreme Court announced their rulings that struck down the Defense of Marriage Act and California's Prop 8 people flocked to Twitter to share their feelings on the landmark decisions.
The entire range of human emotion was on display throughout the tweets. The overwhelming majority of the tweets were ecstatic that marriage equality had been achieved. Many of them were sincere and heartfelt while just as many were playful and fun.
Of course as with any political issue there were also tweets expressing outrage over the Supreme Court's decision.
Two of the best tweets belonged to Dax Sheppard and Kristen Bell. The couple had publicly said that they wouldn't get married until some form of marriage equality existed in the U.S. Once the ruling became public Bell went on Twitter to propose.
Of course, it would be impossible to discuss the issue without RuPaul weighing in.
