Alternative-metal band Faith No More will soon embark on its first North American tour since 2010.
The group will kick off the upcoming trek April 15 in Vancouver and wrap up May 15 at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia, doing 15 shows in total along the way.
Faith No More is planning in May to release its as-yet-titled studio album. It will be the band's first album since 1997's "Album of the Year."
The group is expected to release a new single, "Superhero," in March, according to Rolling Stone.
"I think what we're doing reflects where we've gone since we made our last record as Faith No More," bassist Bill Gould told Rolling Stone last September. "I think this kicks things up a notch. And I think there's parts that are very powerful and there's parts that have a lot of 'space.' Everything we do, with our chemistry, the way we play; it's always going to sound like us. It's just what we do, that makes us feel good. Hopefully it doesn't sound like a bunch of 50-year-old men...which we are!"
Faith No More's outstanding 1989 album "The Real Thing" sold more than 4 million copies worldwide. The seminal disc also spawned the hit single (and video) "Epic" and includes the quintet's fantastic cover of Black Sabbath's classic anti-war anthem "War Pigs."
