According to the Elephantstay's official Facebook page, a non-profit program in which Peter is a part of at the Royal Elephant Kraal & Village in Thailand, visitors have a unique opportunity to live with, care for an learn about Asian elephants up-close and personal.

The Facebook page also posted a bonus video of Peter playing a red clarinet and high-fiving Barton while clearly enjoying the music.

Elephants are highly intelligent animals, among the world's smartest species. Their brains are larger than those of any other land mammal, and similar to a human's in terms of structure and complexity. Elephants have been known to produce abstract art and can be trained to learn a pattern of brush strokes in sequence and produce a concrete picture of, for example, another elephant.

A 36-year old Asian elephant at the National Zoo named Shanti is also known to enjoy playing the harmonica and various horn instruments, notably ending her songs with a crescendo.
