Motorola plans on starting 2015 with a bang by offering discounts on popular gadgets next week.
Starting Feb. 2, fans of the tech giant will be able to save $140 on a $500 purchase, or $50 on a $250 purchase, by registering for a Motorola promo code, according to PC Magazine. Customers will have several devices to choose from, including the second-generation Moto X and Moto G smartphones, first-gen Moto G 4G LTE, Moto E, and Moto 360 smartwatch.
The $140 and $50 discount will only be available for purchases of at least $500 and $250, before sales tax, respectively.
Customers will be able to register starting at 11 a.m. Central Time (noon Eastern Time) on Monday and have until 11:59 p.m. CT (12:59 ET), PC Magazine reported. Only customers with a U.S. shipping address will be able to apply.
Fans of the Nexus 6 will be sad to here that the gadget won't be available in the offerings, The Verge reported.
Those who miss out on the Feb. 2 deals will be able to make up for it the next day, as Motorola will allow customers to save $100 from pre-tax purchases of $500 or $35 from $250 purchases. These discounts will be available until Feb. 14 (Valentine's Day) at 10:59 CT (11:59 ET).
Motorola said on its FAQ page that it is letting registered customers reserve "spots" due a limited quantity of devices, PC Magazine reported.
"This gives more people a fair chance of getting a discount. It also means you don't have to place your immediately," the company said, adding that the deadline on Feb. 14 lets customers "come back when convenient."
