Cobie Smulders and husband Taran Killam welcomed their second child earlier this month, according to People.
The new baby joins big sister Shaelyn Cado, who was born in 2009. Smulders and "Saturday Night Live" star Killam have not released the sex or name of their new addition. The couple married in 2012.
The "How I Met Your Mother" alum casually let slip the news of her 3-week old baby while speaking to Bustle at the Sundance Film Festival on Monday.
"I'm in Sundance and I have a three week old baby, so I can certainly relate," Smulders said about playing a pregnant high school teacher in her new indie film, "Unexpected."
"It's my world at the moment, and it's just so prevalent in the world today. I'm very lucky where I have a great career and a huge support system and not every woman has that. It's an interesting film because it shows both of those sides,"
Her character forms a friendship with one of her students who is also pregnant. Smulders praised the film for it's female point of view rather than other movies about pregnancy, like "Knocked Up" and "Nine Months," told from the man's point of view.
"It's an amazing story. It's about motherhood, it's about female empowerment," "The Avengers" star said. "Weirdly, as many people in the world that have been pregnant, there's actually not that many movies about pregnancy."
The 32-year-old actress wasn't showing during filming, so she still had to use "a lot of fake bellies," according to Entertainment Weekly. The movie did use a personal sonogram of Smulder's newborn for her character's unborn baby in "Unexpected."
