To help continue to her break online records, Miley Cyrus has hired a superfan as a part-time assistant, MSN reports. The pop star credits her "stalker" fan to boosting her presence online, and has apparently invited the fan to fly out and meet her family this summer.
Cyrus explained the situation on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" where she recently sat down for an interview and performed her hit single, "We Can't Stop" for the first time. "She's actually flying out here and staying with my mom this summer," Cyrus explained. "She's gonna work for me for the summer."
The unnamed fan will be paid to stay on top of her schedule and and help her get her music and videos posted on the most relevant websites. "No one tells me anything, I'm the last to know everything," Cyrus said. "I didn't even know about a schedule today. I didn't know what time I was gonna be here. She's more than a stalker because she's actually so obsessed...she knows things about how to break Vevo records, which we did with her help...She knows what has to be done and what amount of time to, like, be No. 1 to break the record."
And break Vevo records she did, as most recently Cyrus surpassed Justin Bieber on the music video site, gaining 10.7 million views in just one day, beating Bieber's record of 10.6 million hits in 24 hours...all with the help of her recently hired superfan.
In addition to keeping track of her online presence, Cyrus said she'll give her unnamed superfan her personal phone numbers. "When I first called her, I called her off my friend's phone, but then I just started texting her all the time," she said. "I bet she gets more annoyed with me than I get with her because I hit her up all the time. I'm like, 'Yo, how are we gonna make this happen? You've gotta make the fans trend this...' She's really amazing."
Perhaps there's a future in PR for the "stalker" fan obsessed with Miley Cyrus.
