A 2-month old rabbit named Blueberry is ready to be loved again in a home with an affectionate family.
He is available for adoption at the Humane Society of Western Michigan (3077 Wilson NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49534). The shelter can be reached by phone at (616) 453-8900.
Those interested can adopt Blueberry for $15, the facility's adoption fee. This includes a physical examination by the society's in-house veterinarian. Male and neutered rabbits cost $30. Sprayed female rabbits are also available for $50.
The building is closed Sunday and Monday but is open Tuesdays through Fridays fron noon to 7 p.m. Saturday hours are from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
There are two important scheduling changes to note, however.The society opens up at 3:30 p.m. Feb. 4 and Feb 18 for staff training, according to the organization's website.
