'Teen Titans': TV Series Team Lineup Confirmed?

DC really has a leg up on Marvel when it comes to the live-action TV series realm. So far, there are quality shows like "Arrow," "The Flash," "Constantine," and "Gotham." CBS's "Supergirl" is on deck. And today, there's a good bit of information in regard to the live-action "Teen Titans" series for TNT. According to Comic Book Resources (via the Nerdist), the core members of the TV team have been revealed.

I think everyone knew that we'd be seeing Dick Grayson, but will we be getting the Robin or Nightwing incarnation? The report states that he will be fighting crime as Robin initially, and he will evolve into the more adult Nightwing persona eventually. We also have Barbara Gordon in a wheelchair, but she won't be known as Oracle for some reason. It's an interesting addition, since she's never been a member of Teen Titans that I can recall. Conversely though, Barbara was a grown woman when the Joker put her in that wheelchair in "The Killing Joke" comic...not really a "teen" at all, so I'm unsure how and/or why they are going to shoehorn her in to this cast? We also have Hank Hall as Hawk and Dawn Granger as Dove, with the two being a "romantic pairing." Raven and Starfire will also be part of the team, apparently showing up at the end of the pilot episode.

Who's missing from this team are Cyborg (who's been pretty much co-opted by the Justice League these days) and Beast Boy. Will they popping up in the series later on? If I had to make an educated guess, I would say we'll most certainly be seeing those guys in one form or another.

The show has Akiva Goldsman (who penned the 1997 "Batman and Robin" debacle, so his involvement with any superhero project makes me cringe) and Marc Haimes writing the pilot, with production starting later in 2015.
