Novak Djokovic meets Jeremy Chardy on Saturday in the third round of the 2013 Wimbledon Championships. The match is the third of the day on Centre Court, and it starts at approximately 1 p.m. ET. Watch the live stream HERE, or watch Wimbledon's free coverage here.
World No. 1 Djokovic is on his way to capturing his second Wimbledon title. Despite losing in the French Open semifinals to rival Rafael Nadal, Djokovic has played well on the Wimbledon grass that has frustrated so many others. Djokovic, who hasn't dropped a set, defeated Florian Mayer (6-3, 7-5, 6-4) and Bobby Reynolds (7-6, 6-3, 6-1) en route to the third round.
While upsets have been a recurring theme in the tournament, the early exits of Roger Federer and Nadal certainly bode well for the Serb; Djokovic is now the only former champion remaining in draw, TennisEarth.com reports.
If Djokovic can continue to win, he's projected to face Tomas Berdych in the quarterfinals and Juan Martin del Potro in the semifinals, leading to a possible finale against Andy Murray in a rematch of the 2013 Australian Open Final.
Jeremy Chardy of France stands in the Serb's way. The No. 25 World-ranked Frenchman, one of the more talented players from his country, could give Wimbledon another upset by winning on Saturday. His name made the papers in January when he shocked the tennis world by defeating Del Potro at the Australian Open.
Djokovic is the favorite to win. In their previous six matches, Djokovic is undefeated against Chardy.
