Samsung's Galaxy S6 may be coming to smartphone lovers soon, as the tech giant has sent out invitations to its Unpacked Event on March 1.
The event will take place right before the Mobile World Congress, which is expected to see HTC's unveiling of its own flagship device, according to The Verge.
A teaser image hints that Samsung's new device feature the curved-screen technology used by the Galaxy Note Edge.
The event will follow one year after the South Korean company debuted new Gear smartwatches, the Gear Fit band and the Galaxy S5 smartphone at its Unpacked event at Mobile World Congress, The Verge.
Samsung's next flagship product has been the subject of a variety of rumors, such as it using the company's Exynos chip instead of the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, ZDNet reported. Exynos is normally used in devices outside the U.S., as opposed to Qualcomm chips.
Other features expected for the Samsung Galaxy S6 include Android Lollipop, a very high resolution Super AMOLED display, 3GB or 4GB of RAM, improved camera and metal. Different rumors surround the phone's use of metal, with some suggesting it would appear on the edge like the Note 4 or all over the device like the A5 and A3.
The Galaxy Unpacked 2015 will begin at 12:30 p.m. ET (6:30 p.m. CT) on March 1. Samsung will stream the event live.
