Linsey Godfrey: ‘Bold and the Beautiful’ Star Struck by Car, Injures Both Ankles

Linsey Godfrey, one of the stars on "Bold and the Beautiful," was struck by a car Monday afternoon as she was walking down the street. Sources told TMZ that a car careened onto the sidewalk, hitting the soap opera star after getting into an accident with another vehicle.

Godfrey was pinned underneath the car, seriously injuring both her ankles. By the time police arrived to the scene, a bystander had pulled the 26-year-old from under the wreckage. She was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital and was taken into surgery.

At first TMZ reported that Godfrey had broken both her legs, but her manager told People magazine and Highlight Hollywood that her injuries were to her ankles and she was expected to make a full recovery.

"Linsey's currently out of surgery, her injuries are to her ankles. Her ankles are not broken, but twisted badly," her manager said. "Fortunately, she does not have two broken legs as reports say. Her doctor says that she is expected to make a full recovery."

Godfrey plays Caroline Spencer on the hit daytime soap. A spokesperson for the CBS show told People that her character has a "major arc right now," but they are trying to work things out with production. Her manager told Highlight Hollywood that they didn't know how long Godfrey would be away from the show.

"We'll know more tomorrow, but she will be fine, and she sincerely appreciates the fans and their loving support and prayers, and wants to thank them for their concern," her manager said.

"She's very lucky to get away with such minor injuries in a situation like this," the manager added.
