It's rather astounding how little is actually known about Marvel's "Daredevil" TV series coming to Netflix. "Daredevil" is the first of five interlocking Netflix series developed by Marvel Studios. After "Daredevil," which has 13 episodes, we'll see "A.K.A. Jessica Jones," "Luke Cage," "Iron Fist," and finally, "The Defenders," a mini-series where all those heroes will team up to kick butt and take names.
We're now just a few months away from the April 10 debut of "Daredevil" and surprisingly little about the show's specifics have made it out into the world. We have the typically vague Marvel casting and character descriptions, a cast that appears to include comparatively few costumed characters for a Marvel effort and a general synopsis (below, released by Netflix) that should be quite familiar to anyone who knows the comics or saw the reviled film with Ben Affleck.
"Marvel's 'Daredevil' is a live action series that follows the journey of attorney Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), who in a tragic accident was blinded as a boy but imbued with extraordinary senses. Murdock sets up practice in his old neighborhood of Hell's Kitchen, New York where he now fights against injustice as a respected lawyer by day and masked vigilante at night."
With all that in mind, we now have a trailer for a trailer (this is a trend that needs to end...NOW) that really doesn't tell us much other than that Murdock/Daredevil is "trying to make my city a better place."
Check out the 15 second teaser below. The "real" trailer drops tomorrow, Feb. 4. Hopefully, that will whet our collective appetites with scads of DD goodness. Thanks to Screen Rant for the heads up.
