Wanna eat like the Queen Bey?
Beyoncé announced that she has teamed up with fitness trainer Marco Borges to launch a vegan home delivery meal service. The program is a fully gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free and 100 percent plant-based meal plan called 22 Days Nutrition.
"I am so grateful that I took the challenge and credit Marco with leading by example," Beyoncé said in statement about the new partnership. "He is the most energetic person I know and it's all because of his decision to live a healthy lifestyle. He came up with a great program to get people motivated to make better nutritional choices. All you have to do is try. If I can do it, anyone can."
The vegan home delivery meal service features three meals a day, which range in price from $9.76 to $16.50 per meal. The 22-day regimen is built on the concept that it takes 21 days to make or break a habit and launches on Feb. 13.
A sample menu includes hearty nut granola for breakfast, curried fried rice with vegetables for lunch and southern black beans and vegetables for dinner.
"We believe in the idea of embracing great foods, not avoiding bad ones," the company said in a statement. "And that dedication can taste like decadence."
In 2013, Beyoncé and her hubby Jay-Z embarked on a 22-day challenge created by Borges.
"On December 3, one day before my 44th birthday, I will embark on a 22 Days challenge to go completely vegan, or as I prefer to call it, plant-based!" Jay-Z blogged about his diet experiment at the time. "This all began a few months back when a good friend and vegan challenged me to embrace a 'plant-based breakfast' every day. It was surprisingly easier on me than I thought ... PS: B is also joining me. (sic)."
