Golden State continues to lead the Western Conference with a 38-8 record and are looking for their third straight win after bouncing back from consecutive losses. A big reason for the Warriors' record is the play of All-Star point guard Stephen Curry, who's averaging 23.0 points and 8.2 assists per game.
While Curry has looked unstoppable for most of this season, he did admit he has one weakness.
"My kryptonite is probably dunking," Curry told USA Today Sports, referring to how another NBA player could possibly beat him in a game of HORSE. "If his legs are loose and he gets up there and tries to throw one home and I gotta follow that, that's not usually my forte. I could probably do it, but I'd have to get a good stretch in before. I think my range will probably be my strength against John (Wall), so we'll see what happens."
The Warriors have a well-rounded offense, though, in terms of scoring. Klay Thompson is averaging 22.5 points per game, and Draymond Green is averaging 11.4 points per game. Having multiple players on the court who can score was one of the things first-year coach Steve Kerr liked about inheriting this team.
"I love the box score. I love having a lot of different guys scoring and not having all the points concentrated on a few guys," Kerr said, via ESPN. "It just makes us hard to guard."
Golden State's last two wins came against two teams unlikely to make the postseason, whereas Dallas could be a first-round opponent. The Mavericks, who will continue to be without Rajon Rondo because of a facial injury, are 33-17 and looking for their fourth straight win.
