Bobbi Kristina Brown's friend, Max Lomas, claims Nick Gordon did not pull the 21-year-old from the bathtub because he was "elsewhere" in the house when she was found. Lomas' lawyer told "Access Hollywood" that his client is traumatized by the incident and he did his best to save Brown's life.
On Saturday (Jan. 31), Brown was found face down in a filled bathtub at her Georgia home. It was believed that her longtime partner, Gordon, found her, but Lomas claims he was the one who discovered Brown in the tub.
"Max was actually the one that found her and he's the one that removed her from the bathtub and called 911, and Max is the one who began the process of hopefully helping her recover," Phillip Holloway said.
"He was terrorized. It was absolute pure panic, and he was frightened for his friend, his close friend who was not breathing and did not appear to show any signs of life. He's petrified," Holloway continued. "And he wanted to get her the help that she so desperately needed at the time."
Holloway said when Gordon came into the bathroom he immediately started CPR on Brown because Lomas didn't know how to.
"Max assisted in the best of his ability - he's not trained in CPR - but he's the one who removed her from the bathtub and called 911," Holloway said.
It was reported that Lomas had been arrested last month with the intent to distribute drugs, but Holloway insists that his client is only a witness and not a suspect. Police are currently investigating what led to Brown's hospitalization and during a second search of her home they found drugs.
"He's absolutely not in hiding, no," Holloway told "Access Hollywood." "In fact, we're doing all we can to cooperate to find out exactly what happened to Bobbi Kristina, and under what circumstances. That's everybody's goal, including Max."
