"Orange Is the New Black" star Lea DeLaria has announced her engagement to her fashion editor girlfriend Chelsea Fairless.
"Yes bitches I am engaged," the 56-year-old actress tweeted along with a link to her Facebook page for a longer statement that read as follows:
"Despite their concerns about the patriarchal confines of marriage, actor/singer Lea DeLaria & editrix Chelsea Fairless of Brooklyn, New York are pleased to announce their engagement. No date has been set for the impending nuptials but it's safe to say that it will be the event of the season, or a total s*** show."
The Facebook post also included a photo that DeLaria Photoshopped to insert her and Fairless into a photo from Liza Minnelli and David Gest's 2002 wedding. She replaced the newlyweds (now divorced) so it appears she and her fiancée are posing with guests Michael Jackson and Elizabeth Taylor.
The comedienne posted the same photo on her Instagram account backed by the song "Greatest Love of All" by Whitney Houston.
DeLaria is best known for her character Big Boo on the Netflix series. She's also a jazz musician and performed in concert for Lincoln Center's American Songbook series on Thursday night.
"Orange Is the New Black" will return for its third season this summer.
