NFL News: Detroit Lions RB Reggie Bush Denies Spiking Women's Drinks With Ecstasy, Demands Reporters Be Fired, Planning Legal Action (TWEETS)

Current Detroit Lions and former New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush has responded in no uncertain terms to allegations that he drugged women with ecstasy while hanging out with former teammate Darren Sharper in Las Vegas.

"This is outrageous," Bush's attorney Shawn Holley told the Detroit Free Press. "I can say to you on the record that Reggie adamantly, vehemently and unequivocally denies all of the statements in that article. We are demanding a retraction from The Advocate and Reggie is considering taking legal action."

On Friday, The New Orleans Advocate published a report stating that Brandon Licciardi, a former police officer and co-defendant of Sharper's in his ongoing rape case, had revealed that he witnessed Bush slip the party drug into the glasses of unsuspecting women.

"A former St. Bernard Parish sheriff's deputy who has been charged with helping former Saints safety Darren Sharper drug women to prime them for rape told investigators that a few years earlier, he saw former Saints running back Reggie Bush drop Ecstasy into Champagne glasses and hand out the illicit party drug to women on a nearby dance floor at a Las Vegas club," writes John Simerman and Ramon Antonio Vargas of The Advocate.

Bush took things a step farther on Saturday via Twitter.

Licciardi, 29, told police that he bumped into Bush in the VIP area of a club in Las Vegas and that Bush recognized him because of his relationship with Sharper.

"OK, um, I was in Vegas about three years ago and um, Reggie Bush put Molly in Champagne. He was handing out Molly on the dance floor to girls. Handing it out. Like giving it to them," Licciardi said, according to The Advocate.

"Molly" is another name for MDMA, an ingredient in ecstasy.

Sharper, the former Saints safety, is accused of drugging and raping at least seven women in four states.
