Agent Peggy Carter endured much chauvinistic treatment in the early days of the S.S.R., but her resilience to the narrow-minded led the way for today's female S.H.I.E.L.D agents.
The latest "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." teaser highlights the female power in the Marvel TV universe. The ABC series will return in March after "Agent Carter" wraps up its eight-episode first season.
The "S.H.I.E.L.D." team boasts four strong women including Skye (Chloe Bennet), Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen), Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) and newcomer Bobbi Morse a.k.a. Mockingbird (Adrianne Palicki).
The rest of season two will dive into Skye's transformation that will introduce the Inhumans storyline. The show recently cast Luke Mitchell as another Inhuman who will help the young S.H.I.E.L.D. agent better understand who she has become after the events of the midseason finale.
"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." returns on Tuesday, March 3 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
