“NBA 2K” fans have been waiting for 2K Sports to unveil new features for “NBA 2K14.” Since E3 last month the only thing we know is that LeBron James is on the cover and he and his videogame counterpart are good buddies. Today, the company released just a bit more information on the upcoming game, according to PastaPadre.
This edition of “NBA 2K” will feature 14 Euroleague teams. (The Euroleague actually has 31 teams, one more than the NBA’s 30.)
According to Pasta Padre, the “NBA 2K14” Euroleague teams will include:
“•Alba Berlin
•FC Barcelona
•Real Madrid
•CSKA Moscow
•EA7 Emporio Armani Milano
•Montepaschi Siena
•Fenerbahçe Ülker Istanbul
•Anadolu Efes Istanbul
•Olympiacos Piraeus
•Panathinaikos Athens
•Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv
•Zalgiris Kaunas
•Unicaja Málaga
•Laboral Kutxa Vitoria”
The biggest competitor for “NBA 2K14”, “NBA Live 14” has already announced some of its features such as BounceTek and CourtQ. It has some fans excited for EA Sports’ upcoming game.
So far, NBA 2K14 has announced cover athlete LeBron James and some of the features that will come when you pre-order the game. Also, its seems 2K has been more into theatrics than substance when it comes to the new game. There have already been three commercials for the game—all of which include LeBron James.
However, 2K Sports does not have to release as much as “NBA Live” because they have nothing to prove. The “NBA 2K” franchise has had nearly no competition the last three years with the absence of “NBA Live.” Therefore, maybe 2K Sports has something up their sleeve—and we should just be patient.
