Forget Kim Kardashian, the Spice Girls might actually break the internet!
On Wednesday afternoon the world was blessed with four unreleased songs from the Spice Girls. According to E! News, the tracks were posted to SoundCloud and YouTube.
The songs are "Pain Proof," "A Day in Your Life," "If It's Lovin on Your Mind" and "Right Back At Ya," which appeared on the group's 2000 album "Forever" but was a completely different version. The girls haven't commented on the leak but the internet is already freaking out.
"WHEN I THOUGHT THIS DAY COULDN'T GET BETTER: Unreleased tracks from the #SpiceGirls online! We've been waiting, everlasting, like the sun," one Twitter user wrote.
"Omg these new spice girls songs... 4 year old me is crying," another posted.
The last time the Spice Girls released music was in 2007 for their greatest hits album, so this surprise is long overdue. Back in September, Mel B, aka Scary Spice, dished about her time singing "Spice Up your Life" and "Mama" to Larry King, teasing that they "fought like cats and dogs."
"We had a five-year plan that got shortened after three years," she said, referring to member Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice) abruptly leaving the group in 1998.
At the time, the two had a falling out because Halliwell's exit landed on Mel B's birthday and right before they started the American leg of their tour. However, Mel and Halliwell have made up and moved on.
"I still remind her of it," she told King. "Like, I saw her a couple weeks ago and I said, 'Do you remember when you left on my birthday.'"
Even though everyone has secretly hoped the Spice Girls would get back together, each of them have clearly moved on and now have very successful careers. Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) is married to soccer hunk David Beckham and is a fashion designer; Mel B is a judge on "America's Got Talent"; Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) is a radio personality; Halliwell has released a few solo songs; and Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice) just landed a judging gig on "Asia's Got Talent."
