Rachel Bilson Angry at 'The Bling Ring' and Sofia Coppolla for 'Glorifying' Robberies She Was a Victim Of (VIDEO)

Sofia Coppolla's latest film "The Bling Ring," loosely based on the real "Hollywood Hills Burgaleries" that took place between 2008 and 2009, has angered actress Rachel Bilson, who was a victim of the events in which more than $3 million were stolen from celebrity homes by fame-obsessed teenagers, EntertainmentWise reports.

Bilson recently spoke to Cosmopolitan about the film that's gotten her heated and how she was robbed of her engagement ring and about $30,000 worth of clothes and jewelry.

"I thought it was weird to glorify something that was so upsetting for a lot of people," she said. "It's important to detach from material things, but the special, personal things I lost are hard to forget."

The 31-year old star also admitted to going through her own rebellious phase during her youth, though insisted to Cosmo that she outgrew that lifestyle as she got older. "I went through a little bit of a wild phase when I was a teenager and got into trouble," she said. "It was just enough to make me feel like I'd done everything and I didn't need to party as much as I got older."

Bilson's former "The OC" co-star Misha Barton also criticized the film in which Coppolla references her DUI, explaining that the whole movie "creeps [her] out." She recently took to Twitter to vent about "The Bling Ring," writing: "Really #sofiacoppola #theblingring my name? Shame on you."

She later tweeted: "Why does this movie sound so awful! Wish it didn't exist #theblingring."

The film, starring Emma Watson as a character loosely based on "Pretty Wild" reality star Alexis Neiers, has received mixed reviews from fans critics since its release last month, grossing around $4.4 million at the box office.
