Happy Fourth of July South Beach!!! Here are a few places where you can see the fireworks light up the night sky, according to CBS Miami and About.com:
4th of July Concert and Fireworks Show at Homestead Miami Speedway—Go to 1 Speedway Blvd tonight in Homestead, FL to enjoy the red rockets at a venue that is accustomed to end -of-the-night light shows after every race. After a long day of music and other festivities the fireworks will begin at 9 pm. However, if you really want a good experience try the VIP package for $20. It includes a Skybox—air-conditioned—view with food. Not a bad deal.
Head over to the Cocunut Grove Chamber of Commerce for live music, food and even a place for your children to play. End the day with a great fireworks show starting at 9 p.m. The chamber of commerce is located at 2820 McFarlane Rd in Miami.
Come have a party at America’s Birthday Bash. The festivities will take place at Bayfront Park and include “multicultural music” and some great food. The party will take place from 3 p.m. until the fireworks begin at 9 p.m. The Bayside Ampitheatre is at 301 Biscayne Blvd.
If you already have plans for the first half of the day and are looking for something to do a little later head over to the City of Miami Beach Fourth of July Celebration at the Miami Beach Tourism Center. Music will begin at 7 p.m. and fireworks will start at 9 pm. You can participate in fun activities out on the beach at Ocean Drive and 8th Street.
If you are looking for something to do before the fireworks try the Old Fashioned July Fourth at the Barnacle State Historic Site. Visitors can tour the Monroe House. Children can try old-fashioned activities such as kite-making and knot demonstrations. You also have the option of having a nice picnic on site or buying some of the food made available. The festivities end at 4 so you can head over to one of the fireworks sites mentioned above to catch an evening light show. The Historic Site is located at 3485 Main Highway.
