Two akitas who were born from the same litter were reunited six months after being adopted by separate families.
Reddit user tinkerlane posted the adorable picture of his dog reuniting with his brother, which started to go viral within a day.
The dogs are often referred to as "Japanese pit bulls" and are stereotyped as dangerous because, similarly to pit bulls, they can be raised to be aggressive in certain environments.
These akitas - like many friendly pit bulls - show that's not always the case, given the big hugs the puppies greeted each other with. They were apart for six months, which is about four dog years.
The two puppy owners have enrolled in the same training class, so the dogs won't be separated forever.
