Beloved pets are getting the chance to meet their plush clones thanks to Cuddle Clones - a company that lets pet owners order plush toy versions of their animals.
The company takes 10 pictures of a pet - mostly dogs - and creates a plush toy look-alike of the animal.
The Cuddle Clones are often used as a way to remember and honor a pet after they die, but that's not the only case.
Cuddle Clones are ordered for people who think their pet is just so cute or unique-looking that they must clone him or her immediately, as gifts for pet-loving friends, as an aid for kids who don't want to part with their pet when they go off to college, for those who lost pet custody in a breakup and more, according to the company.
Founder Jennifer Williams, who started the concept as a college class project in 2011, told CNN that social media helped their sales spike after customers started posting pictures of their pets with their plush clones.
