Andi Dorfman Talks Josh Murray Break-Up on 'The Bachelor' Special: 'That Was My First True Love'

Break-ups are never easy! A month after her separation from fiancé Josh Murray, Andi Dorfman opened up to Chris Harrison on the Bachelor's "Chris Tells All" special about her decision to end her engagement.

Dorfman and Murray reportedly split after the premiere of Chris Soules' season of "The Bachelor" and the former star of "The Bachelorette" admitted that she considered her broken engagement the "biggest failure" of her life. Dorfman said she was "heartbroken" over the breakup, but realized that she had to be realistic about her relationship with Murray.

The 27-year-old revealed that the decision to finally call off their engagement was not made overnight. The couple appeared united during the "Bachelor" live premiere in January, but Dorfman said it was the final straw in their relationship.

"You know, we went to the live premiere and I think hearing people ask about wedding dates and seeing the other happy couples and people planning weddings, we had to ask ourselves why we're not planning a date and people who were engaged after us have a date," Dorfman said, adding that the experience was "very eye opening."

During the interview, Dorfman said she felt like she "disappointed people," and added that it "breaks her heart to know people rooted for us and it didn't work out."

"We were both very aware of the fact that we just didn't better each other," she continued. "I didn't feel supported and empowered and I don't think I gave him the support and empowerment that he needed. When you have two very passionate, very strong personalities in one house and nobody can back down and nobody is the calming force for one another, it's a lot of tension in one house."

"I'll always love him. I've never loved anybody like that in my life. I've never ever experienced love like that. I'll always always have a love for him. That was my first true love without a doubt. And my first heartbreak."

Dorfman accepted Murray's proposal on the July 2014 finale of "The Bachelorette" season 10. Last month, the pair released a joint statement addressing their separation.

"After several months of being engaged and working on our relationship, we have decided that it's best for both of us to go our separate ways," the pair said in a statement to Us Weekly. "We are very sad that it has come to this point, but this is what's best for both of us individually. We will continue to be good friends and have nothing but great things to say about each other and wish each other the best."
