Good news, Jay-Z and Kanye fans! According to a recent Twitter exchange between Mike Dean and Hudson Mohawke, The Throne planes to join forces once more for a sequel to their hit collaboration album, "Watch the Throne," Idolator reports.
Dean has been a producer for West since "College Dropout," and recently worked with the rapper on his latest album, "Yeezus." He played a major role in "Watch the Throne," while Mohawke is signed to West's label G.O.O.D. Music.
The recent Twitter exchange between Mohawke and Dean is in reference to Jay-Z's latest album, "Magna Carta Holy Grail," which became available for Samsung users yesterday and will officially hit stores July 7.
"Not negativity just honest opinion I think it's lazy, just my own opinion. Not hating," Mohawke tweeted to Dean on the new album.
"All g, just we're all fam. don't burn your bridge for WTT 2!," Dean tweeted in response.
This isn't the first time that Dean has announced or hinted at a "WTT" sequel. In an interview with "Quiet Lunch Magazine" in May, the producer hinted at a second project as a follow-up to the successful collaborative album. "It's coming," he said during the interview at around the 5:34 mark (watch below).
Jay-Z also hinted at a sequel in 2011 during an interview with MTV. "You might see a Jay, then Kanye and a Throne album next year," said the rapper at the time. "You know, we're really in a great place creatively. We really found our zone."
Though sales for "Yeezus" have recently dropped 80 percent since its first week, the album still has received mostly positive reviews from critics so far. Jay-Z's "Magna Carta Holy Grail" has been praised for its innovative multi-media promotion, and critics have rated it highly so far.
