Pharrell Williams' hit song "Happy" quickly became a worldwide sensation last year. It topped the charts in more than 20 countries and inspired tribute videos from fans around the globe. To cash in on the song even more, Pharrell is turning the catchy tune into a children's picture book.
The Grammy-award winner has signed a publishing deal with Putnam Books for Young Readers to write four new picture books, according to Billboard. The first book, inspired by "Happy," will be released on Sept. 22.
The "Happy" picture book will feature photos of children around the world "celebrating what it means to be hapy," according to Billboard. The publisher will print 250,000 copies in the first run.
Pharrell collected the Grammys for Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Music Video for "Happy." The singer-songwriter created "the world's first 24-hour music video" for the song, which consisted of 360 scenes of people dancing around Los Angeles to the four-minute tune.
"Happy" appeared on both the "Despicable Me" soundtrack and Pharrell's second studio album, "Girl."
