Michelle Branch and her rocker husband, Teddy Landau, have decided to officially go their separate ways. The 31-year-old "Everywhere" singer filed for divorce from Landau, 50, on Feb. 9, court documents reveal.
According to People magazine, Branch cited irreconcilable differences and both are seeking joint custody of their 9-year-old daughter, Owen Isabelle. News of the couple's split comes a year after Branch announced their separation.
"My relationship had a very rocky start," she told People in 2006. "My parents hated the idea - and now love him, of course. My dad never wanted me to be with a musician. I mean, how unrealistic is that? I'm not going to fall for an accountant! And when he found out he was closer in age to my husband than I was, he got very nervous."
Branch and Landau, who used to be her bassist, got married in Mexico in 2004. Following their split, Branch briefly dated Dead Sara bassist Chis Null.
