Ansel Elgort lost his virginity at the young age of 14, but prefers to date girls long-term if the "sex is really good."
Elgort shared the story of his first time with Elle magazine and admitted, "I had no clue what I was doing, and neither did the girl." He also copped to a few changes he would have made for a more enjoyable time.
"I didn't even make the lighting good. That'd be one thing I'd do different," the "Insurgent" and "The Fault In Our Stars" star told Elle in the March issue. "It was, like, fluorescent, bright bedroom light, like, over the covers."
Despite his poor first experience, he didn't wait long to have sex again.
"The only thing that made me feel better was doing it again," Elgort said.
The 20-year-old actor now prefers a long-term girlfriend who enjoys spending time together and wants sex to be "really good." She also has to be patient enough to watch him play video games for hours.
"If you can find a girl who you can go to an EDM concert with, have a conversation with, who will sit on the couch and watch you play ["Grand Theft Auto"] for three hours - and then you go to bed and have amazing sex? That should be your girlfriend," Elgort said.
One girl has already met those specifications and is making him happy.
Elgort will next star in "Insurgent," the second film in the "Divergent" trilogy, with his "Fault in Our Stars" co-star, Shailene Woodley. The movie opens on March 20.
