Florida Thieves Busted After Butt-Dialing Victim And Leaving Voicemail About Crime, Police Say

Two suspected Florida thieves met their downfall when one of them accidentally "butt dialed" the company they robbed, KeysNet.com reported.

David Ricky Fanuelsen, 39, and Dean Ellis Brown, 22, were each charged with felony grand theft following the robbery earlier this week at Concrete Solutions, where they work in Key West.

Fanuelsen and Brown might not have been caught if one of them, it's not clear who, hadn't accidentally butt-dialed the office after allegedly stealing three saws.

The call went to voicemail and both men were recorded talking about their plans to pawn the saws, Key West Police Department spokeswoman Alyson Crean told KeysNet.

Fanuelsen and Brown were later questioned and admitted to the theft and plan to pawn the stolen goods, Crean said.

Each suspect was held in county jail on a $10,000 bond.
