The 87th Academy Award nominations differed little from the award show nominees already seen this season, and the Oscar winners probably won't provide too many surprises either.
J.K. Simmons practically swept the Best Supporting Actor categories, and picked up the first Oscar of the night.
The films "Birdman" and "The Grand Budapest Hotel" garnered the most nominations with nine each. "The Grand Budapest Hotel" received its first award of the night for Costume Design.
