EA Sports has as made some moves and added a few new features to NCAA Football 14.
The gaming company has brought Ultimate Team from the Madden franchise to the NCAA Football, according to USA Today.
For those of you who don’t know what Ultimate Team is, it’s sort of the like a fantasy draft. In this game mode, you acquire cards which each feature one of the best players in college football history. As you play the game you unlock additional more players as you work to build, well, your Ultimate Team. Each pack gets a freshman version of 1985 Heisman Trophy winner Bo Jackson.
If you are a subscriber to EA Sports Season Ticket, you may also get the game now before it hits stores on July 9 (tomorrow), according to Pasta Padre. Anyone with the Season Ticket can download the game. However, after 6 am Tuesday you will have to buy the game since the digital copy will no longer be active.
There are also a few other incentives that come with the Season Ticket. Subscribers get 24 All-American Packs for Ultimate Team which will be available over a span of 24 weeks. They also get a 20 percent discount on downloadable content for NCAA 14 and other EA sports titles (Madden NFL, FIFA and NHL.)
The Aaron Hernandez trial has even affected video games. NCAA 14 and Madden 25 will no longer include Hernandez in any shape or form, according to Sports Illustrated. He was supposed to appear as a part of an achievement in the Ultimate Team mode. However, he has been taken out for Alex Smith.
Hernandez is facing charges for the alleged murder of 27-year old Odin Lloyd.
